Your decisions aren’t wrong, your inner critic is | Lia Garvin | TEDxBocaRaton

It is estimated we make over 35,000 decisions in a single day, most without thinking. But of those we do think about, how many do we feel confident about? When it comes to decision making, most of us have an inner narrative in our minds leading us to take pause and second guess any time we have to make a hard call. For women in the workplace, who are faced with the dueling standards of being nice, strong, and assertive, but not “too much” of any of those things; the inner critic can be even louder, putting even more pressure on ourselves for all decisions to be perfect. But it doesn’t have to. In this talk, Lia shares the secret to reframing the stress we feel around making decisions, offering three strategies to transform decision making into something nerve-racking and stressful to something that can make our relationships and teams stronger.
